Chord Voicings: Part 1



These are very typical and useful voicings for root position chords with the roots on the 5th string of the guitar. Click on the image to view it full size. I will post more voicings as they relate to jazz chord progressions in the future.

Hey, great post! I thought sevenths are only used for resolving from V-I. Until I hear you played it.

Missed out on your interactive post earlier, could you do a simple analyst on Jimi Hendrix's Little Wings? Especially on the chord voicings (add9 add2 etc) and why you played it like that?
